Evidence-Based Therapy for Meaningful Change

“Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It's a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.”

Pema Chödrön

My Approach

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, humanistic, and relational framework. I draw heavily from an understanding of how early relationships, attachment patterns, and unconscious ways of protecting ourselves continue to shape emotions, behaviors, and relationships in the present. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I focus on helping clients make sense of long-standing patterns and the contexts in which they developed.

I integrate evidence-based and depth-oriented approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Coherence Therapy, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness-based interventions. Therapy is collaborative and paced with care, emphasizing compassion, curiosity, and meaningful change over quick fixes or over-emphasis on skills-building.

You might be a good fit with my practice if…

You may find this work helpful if you’ve been holding things together on the outside but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected on the inside. You might struggle with anxiety, depression, dissociation, or a lingering sense that something isn’t quite settled or that you don’t truly know who you are, even after trying to understand yourself or make changes on your own.

You may notice patterns like shutting down, difficulty relaxing without feeling distressed by your thoughts or internal dialogue, being hard on yourself, or feeling unsure how to trust others or yourself. Rather than just wanting strategies to get through the day, you’re interested in understanding why these patterns formed, why they persist, and how to relate to them differently. You’re open to therapy that is thoughtful, relational, and moves at a pace that respects your experiences, with space for honesty, curiosity, and compassion.
